Hello everybody. I'm having an amazing time down here! This country is amazing! It's unbelievably HOT! I have a V-neck burn on my chest and a blistered nose. The food here is amazing...we've had deep fried tacos, chicken and a lot of fresh fruit.Everything (mostly) is grown here at the centre so everything is SO FRESH!! And Nicaraguan coffee is such a gift in the morning. The coffee is also grown here.
The soccer camp has been so much fun even with the language barrier. The kids had so much fun doing the drills and playing the games. Perhaps I've traumatized the kids with my MORPHSUIT. They had no idea how to respond to the suit.
So far my favorite part of the trip has been the morning devos and evening debriefs. It's awesome hearing from everyone and their stories.
Today we'll be going to an active volcano and an extinct one. The extinct one has become a large warm bathtub. This little detail from our work feels well deserved - the team is sore and burned.
I miss my family and friends. I've taken lots of videos and photos of the centre and our activities...Darryl Sherk
